1: How do I lose weight?
A: By changing the behaviors and habits that encourage weight gain. These include being more active, building muscles, and eating better.
2: Does calorie intake matter?
A: Yes, however simple is better. The simple science is that a calorie deficit will result in weight loss. A calorie deficit is when you consume fewer calories than your body needs.
2b: How many calories does my body need daily?
A: When we talk about daily caloric needs, we talk about RMR or BMR. Resting Metabolic rate or Basal Metabolic Rate. Which is the scientific equation that calculates your daily calorie intake. This can be found on your InBody Scan result sheet.
3: How is my Coach going to help me achieve my weight-loss goals?
A: We start with breaking down your behavior and eating habits. Then we identify your strengths and weaknesses in relation to exercise and its performance. Next, we address issues outside of the gym and eating that may negatively affect your body’s ability to manage its weight.
4: What do I need to do for myself?
A: Be honest and patient with yourself. Ask questions when you are not sure and ask questions when you think something is wrong. We are here to help you succeed but this is all about you!
